Chopard is widely known as one of the main supporters of the Mille Miglia (Storica), a world famous regularity race for classic and vintage cars produced no later than 1957 and belonging to a model that attended the original race (1927-1957).
To celebrate this association, the Manufacture has been producing some timepieces adorning the red Mille Miglia emblem on their dial. The chronograph version in stainless steel is the most famous iteration, especially with its signature Nero Corsa black color dial obtained by galvanic treatment and with an engine-turned finish as well as its black rubber strap sculpted as a tire profile.
Beside the standard steel version, Chopard also created some limited editions in gold or titanium. This lot is a very rare white gold edition limited to 250 pieces. Some details were adapted to differentiate this precious version from the normal one. Most notably, the subsidiary dials are fully silvered as opposed to being black and circled in silver. Furthermore, the luminescent indexes are straight instead of concentric.
Rarely appearing on the market, this version of one of the most famous chronographs of the racing world would be a captivating addition to the collection of any watches or cars enthusiast.
