Summa totius Sacrae scripturae. Decem Dei verba, sive praecepta. Paris: Robert Estienne, 1542

These fanfare bindings for Pierre Séguier have been attributed to the Atelier au Coeur Empanaché, given their characteristic juxtaposition of oak and laurel leaves and the appearance of tools found on other bindings from the workshop. These include a stylised flower found on a fanfare binding for Henri III, also produced in 1573-1574 (Hobson, Les Reliures à la fanfare, pp.61-63). According to Hobson, these Pierre Séguier volumes mark the transition between the primitive and the true fanfare style (Hobson, p.15).
