Description
Yellowstone 6 Year Old 100 Proof
Distilled in Spring 1968, bottled in Spring 1975, good level
Yellowstone became America’s first national park in 1872, and that same year the J.B. Dant, owner of the Cold Springs Distillery, created a bourbon in its honor. Toward the end of World War II the label passed into the hands of the Glenmore Distillery, which made Yellowstone a core part of its portfolio, bottling it at six years; this example was distilled in 1968 and bottled in 1975, making it a year older than its stated age. The Old Faithful image, inset on the front of the label, was added in 1972 to mark the park’s centennial. Today Yellowstone is owned by MGP and produced at its Limestone Branch Distillery in Lebanon, Kentucky
