oval, the lid centered with a chased sunflower within an entrelac frame on a sablé ground, surrounded by chased and polished bands of varying height within a lemon gold laurel frame, the sides further decorated with chased vase-shaped dividers, the interior of the lid later set with an oval enamel miniature of an elderly lady wearing a dark veil, maker's mark, discharge mark of Jean Jacques Prévost, Paris date letter B for 1765
