A finely carved white and russet jade 'dragon' brushrest,
Yuan - early Ming dynasty
元至明初 白玉雙螭穿雲紋筆擱
of irregular, slightly curved form, well worked with two writhing chilong amidst clouds, continued on the underside with the lower bodies of both dragons emerging from the clouds, the stone of a milky white colour with dark brown markings, with a wood stand carved as swirling clouds
