"Although this table does not have Windsor construction, but, rather, the more traditional frame construction, its leg turning pattern is nonetheless in the late Windsor style. More traditional splay-leg tables without stretchers have legs that are wide at the top and narrow as they approach the floor- no matter what the style of the leg. On this table, the legs are narrowly turned near the top, then swell at midleg, then taper to the floor. The shape of the legs of this piece is reminiscent of the legs found on late Windsors made by E. B. Tracy, which have double score marks." - Charles Santore, 1987
