the black lacquered iron bowl with raised central ridge, the black lacquered peak with hammered brow, back lacquer turnbacks decorated in gold hiramaki-e with maru ni tsuta mon [encircled ivy crests], the two-tiered black lacquer ko manju-jikoro [slightly rounded neck guard] with spaced lacing in leather braid, the black lacquered wakidate [lateral crests] in the form of foliate sprays, the black lacquered iron hanbo [half mask] of typical form with prominent jaw, red lacquer interior, four-tiered black lacquered yodaregake [throat protector] laced in matching braid

The bowl to peak: 27 cm., 10⅝ in.

The shikoro to peak: 31.4 cm., 12⅜ in.

The hanbo: 15 cm., 5⅞ in. wide
