an octafoil bowl pricked with tendrils enclosing discreet Hebrew initials contemporary with design above lobate chasing, bracketed stem and matching domed foot, engraved with maker’s mark HS pellet below in shaped shield, for Hans Schauer, Nuremberg
Height: 7 ¼ in., 18 cm
The initials read: “L.B.T.”
A similar cup is illustrated and listed in Nurnberger Goldschmiedekunst 1541-1868, 2007, p.835 and p.880.
