Description
[Gemini VI-A & Gemini VII]
First successful rendezvous between two crewed spacecrafts
Large, vintage chromogenic print, 24 x 20 inches, "A Kodak Paper" watermark on verso.
This photograph, taken on December 15, 1965 by Gemini VI-A crewmember Tom Stafford, shows the imminent rendezvous with Gemini VII and its crew, Frank Borman and Jim Lovell. Although Gemini VI-A's mission was merely to complete rendezvous with Gemini VII, the latter's mission was to study the effects of long-duration spaceflight on a two-man crew.
