AN AMERICAN FLAG FLOWN ON THE MISSION WITH THE FIRST AMERICAN SPACEWALK.


Jim McDivitt was the mission commander for Gemini IV and photographed the first American spacewalk, which was conducted by command pilot Edward White. White remained outside the spacecraft for 21 minutes during the third revolution of the Gemini IV mission.
