This archive of assorted photographs depict various assembling and inspection of ballistic missiles by United States Air Force and General Dynamics Astronautics personnel at the USAF Missile Test Center, Patrick Air Force Base in Florida. Most photos bear the stamp of the US Air Force Missile Test Center Photographic Laboratory.
Several of these unclassified images depict the Atlas missile. Developed by General Dynamics for the USAF, the Atlas was the first operational intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in the United States' arsenal and officially signified the start of the United States space program.
