Rolex has been experimental with hardstone dials ever since the 70s, however it wasn't until the 2000s when they were widely used on the racing Cosmograph Daytona. Presented here is a white gold reference 116589 fitted with a deep blue sodalite dial, eye catching and elegant, the watch is further embellished with diamonds as the indexes and on the bezel. Hardstone dials are extremely hard to manufacture, even the slightest mistake would cause the fracture of the dial. Yet they remain to be very distinctive and playful, making them an outstanding addition to any watch collection.
