Embodying the spectacularly bold aesthetic of the 60’s and 70’s, the present lot is a particularly rare variant from Piaget’s 21st Century Collection. Worn as a cuff, the watch is a venerable work of art dressed in hammered yellow gold heighted by two rows of turquoise cabochons throughout the entire circumference. A bright coral dial centers the piece. Piaget confirms that only 25 pieces of this design were produced between 1969 and 1971, and was likely offered in only three variations:

Coral dial, turquoise cabochons

Turquoise dial, turquoise cabochons

Turquoise dial, lapis lazuli cabochons

Gold marks and French hallmarks are crisp and legible to the case. Indeed, Piaget confirms that the present lot was made in 1970 and delivered to their French agent in April of the same year. Offered from the family of the original owner, we are pleased to offer the piece in such well-preserved condition.
