The New Danger, released October 12, 2004, is the sophomore album from multi-hyphenate rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor Mos Def. The New Danger debuted at number 5 on them Billboard 200 within it's first week and was certified gold by the RIAA in 2017.
As part of the album's 2004 promotional campaign, MCA Records produced a unique, limited edition "WANTED" poster printed on canvas featuring a black and white portrait of Mos Def right out of the Old West. The Western motif was drawn from The New Danger's album cover, that pictures Def holding a finger pistol to his temple with a bandana tied cowboy-style around his face.
The present lot is one of 20 of these limited edition posters, directly from a former representative for MCA.
