Freddie Mercury's 'One Vision' video-worn shirt, 1985
A short-sleeved cotton shirt, the white ground printed with an abstract design in green, red, grey and black, with left breast pocket, fastening with mother-of-pearl buttons, labelled ‘Kohshsin Satoh’; one of five items of clothing included in this auction worn in the ‘One Vision’ video, recorded at Musicland Studios, Munich, September 1985, and seen in the 2011 BBC documentary ‘Queen – Days Of Our Lives’ (Part II)
‘One Vision’ was the first of Queen’s videos to be directed and produced by Austrian directors Rudi Dolezal and Hannes Rossacher, collectively known as DoRo. Five separate garments worn by Freddie in the video are included in the auction. See lot 235, an orange ‘RAPAX’ vest; lot 176, a black and white striped vest, lot 237; a yellow ‘DALLAS’ T-shirt; and lot 2218, a black and white ‘Nike’ vest.
