Last tasted from magnum when it was 10 years old. This vintage was never racked. It was a classic year in Ribera. Incredible wet earth and red fruit nose, so youthful still. Great esterisation. Lovely chocolate, vanillin and liquorice on the palate. A touch of Bordeaux style but so full of individual personality. Peter Sisseck calls this vintage 'chic rustique'! Serena Sutcliffe, MW
