In the 1990’s, Omega released some limited editions in gold of their flagship model, the Speedmaster.

Interestingly, the limited editions in yellow gold and on leather strap had the same case number, 145.0052. Therefore, that case number can be found on the limited edition made for the 20th anniversary of the Apollo Soyuz mission and on the limited Jubilee edition that celebrated the 50th anniversary of the calibre 27 CHRO C12, the 321’s ancestor.

This present lot is part of that Jubilee edition that was made in 999 pieces in 1992. To celebrate it, they decided to gold plate the movement, a nice hidden detail that can only be admired when the watch is open and the dust cap removed. The serial number on the movement is repeated under the lower left lug.

Few of these watches have appeared on the international market. This one, in well-preserved condition, comes with its original Omega certificate of guarantee, presentation box, outer packaging and service guarantee, making it a most attractive opportunity.
