A popular collector's item, the present watch reference 16523 is a Cosmograph Daytona that is powered by a Zenith movement, Cal. 4030, an iconic caliber that represents the last outsourced movement by Rolex. With an ability to beat at a rate of 28,800 bph, it was a very impressive reading at the time and can provide not only a smoother reading on or off the race track but as well as a greater accuracy in timekeeping through the years.

Most probably driven by the fashion scene during the 1980, Rolex launched this iteration of yellow gold and stainless steel case and bracelet for the first time in the history of the Daytona.

The present watch, fitted with a matching Mark III “inverted 6” dial and accompanied by its original Rolex Guarantee and presentation case, remains a savvy choice for contemporary collectors.
