Introduced in 2015 at Basel, Patek Philippe launched the Reference 5905P as its new Annual Calendar Chronograph. It first debuted only cased in platinum, with a black of blue dial, and offered collectors an annual calendar and fly-back chronograph function in a more substantial 42 mm case. Compared to the Reference 5960, the case of the 5905P was updated with square pushers, a modern departure from its predecessor.
In 2021, Patek Philippe introduced a new iteration for this referene, which combined an acclaimed stainless steel case and bracelet and a charming olive green dial as seen in the beautifully kept present lot.
