the circular plate finely engraved with chapter ring divided IIII-XII-VIII and further subdivided for every minute with numbered ten minute markers, concentric equation scale with annual calendar and Watch Slower/Watch Faster corrections for mean time, the centre with sixteen-point compass rose and bold gnomon, signed Dollond, London between foliate scrolls
