A gold and enamel perfume flacon in the shape of a hippopotamus, Gucci, Italy, circa 1980,


of upright tubular form, decorated in opalescent pale pink enamel over a grained gold ground simulating hippopotamus skin, small circular gold mount around a hole to the front through which the scent is released when pushing the hippo’s head, bright red paste-set eyes, signed: Gucci, Italy; further struck K18; FRO

de forme cylindrique verticale, décoré en émail rose pâle opalescent sur un fond d'or amati simulant la peau d'un hippopotame, petite monture en or entourant un trou à l'avant par lequel le parfum est libéré lorsqu'on pousse la tête de l'hippopotame, yeux sertis de pâte rouge vif, signé : Gucci, Italie ; également estampé K18 ; FRO
