the double domed cornice above a pair of doors enclosing a velvet and gilt ribbon-lined interior, the slant front enclosing two pigeon holes and two small drawers flanking a small cupboard, the lower part with three long drawers; the whole painted with chinoiserie motifs within gilt foliate borders on an enamel green ground, raised on bracket feet
