A Derby Topographical Part-Dessert Service, Circa 1800


each piece painted, possibly by George Robertson, with a gilt vine-wreathed paneL of a named British or Italian view within a formal border of arches and foliate swags on the gilt-edged green-ground, comprising:

a pair of fruit coolers, liners and covers;

a pineapple stand;

four diamond-shaped dishes;

four oval dishes;

two lozenge-shaped dishes,

two kidney-shaped dishes;

a sauceboat stand;

and twenty-two dessert plates, 

crowned crossed batons and script D mark, pattern number 343 and view titles painted in blue enamel. 40 pieces
