8vo (162 x 104mm.), text in Latin and Greek, woodcut initials and headpieces, woodcut diagrams (decorated with typographical fleurons), E8 with some text obscured with pencil, old vellum with modern spine lettering, central section of title-page torn away and the remainder pasted onto a title-page with the imprint Lyon, 1617, lacking final leaf with errata and device


This is the first parallel Greek-Latin text edition of Euclid, which was reprinted at least ten times during the sixteenth century. It was edited by Stephanus Gracilis.
