Description

of deep rounded form on a splayed incurved foot, the rim with a raised flange, made of thick glass with a brownish tinge, the interior decorated with blue roundels containing animals and foliate motifs outlined in red, alternating confronting peacocks and lions attacking antelopes, each interspersed with arched cartouches painted in thick green, white, red, yellow and blue enamelled scrolling palmettes, the interstices with remnants of gilding, the base with remnants of a red, blue and white motif, the rim and lower body decorated with four small blue roundels with trefoil patterns outlined in red and dotted in yellow at the base, all roundels framed in red bands filled with scrolling floral designs, the frieze along the rim containing a repeated pattern of curled zoomorphic vines with animal heads
