Description
A Hellenistic Marble Head of a Ptolemaic Queen
3rd/2nd Century B.C.
under lifesize, with parted lips, eyes with recessed pupils probably once inlaid, and ears pierced for applied jewellery, the hair roughly worked, the back formerly completed in stucco, the neck carved for insertion into a bust or statue.
Height 22.5 cm.
