This painting is sold with accompanying Papunya Tula Artists documentation which states in part:
"This painting depicts designs associated with the salt lake site of Pankulrulkanga, north of the Kintore Community. In mythological times a Tingari Man of the Tjupurrula kinship subsection camped at this site and spun hair which is used to make hair-string belts worn during ceremonies. Since events associated with the Tingari Cycle are of a secret nature no further detail was given."
