The center of the panel, depicting three graces in low relief, is carved after the painting The Three Graces Dancing by Antonio Canova, now in the Canova Museum, Possagno. The reclining figures to the left and right side of the relief depict the sculptures Night and Day by Michelangelo Buonarotti, which are originally part of the Tomb of Giuliano di Lorenzo de' Medici in the New Sacristy in the Medici Chapel in Florence.
