Lot Collection

After the close of the auction, purchased lots (other than the chandeliers forming lots 507, 538, 657, 678, 681, 747 and 843) can be collected directly by appointment from Sotheby's Cologne at the Palais Oppenheim from Friday 17th September to Friday 2nd October.

After that date, purchased lots will be available for collection from Monday 5th October 2026 at our partner warehouse by appointment only:

Monday to Friday: 09:00-16:00

Weekends: Closed

Lots will only be released once full payment has been received and all required documentation is on file (including a valid ID, proof of address, details of beneficial owners for corporate clients, etc.). When booking an appointment, please contact Tandem GmbH at least two days in advance (maximilian.schroeders@tandem-kunst.de or alexandre.goffin@tandem-kunst.de) and simultaneously contact our team at de.cx@sothebys.com to confirm that all requirements have been met.

Storage Fees

Kindly note that all purchased lots that have not been collected within 30 calendar days (or 60 calendar days if the buyer is a Sotheby’s Preferred member) from the date of the auction will be subject to late collection fees. Late Collection Fees comprise of a one-time handling fee and a daily late collection fee, for further details please visit: https://www.sothebys.com/en/late-collection-fees.

Collection Requirements

When collecting your lot(s), please bring the lot reference number and a valid form of identification. If collection is to be made by a third party (either an individual or a carrier), the owner must provide a signed letter of authorisation stating the name of the person authorised to collect the lot(s) on their behalf.

Lots will be released without packaging to allow inspection of their condition at the time of collection. Any claims regarding condition must be made at the time of collection.
