The Bottling

This cask can be bottled at the client's request up to a maximum of 5 years after the auction date. The label used in the example shown uses design elements from Ini Archibong's creation, making it an exclusive creation and setting it apart from Diageo's other Cask of Distinction bottles. The example also shows an age statement of 43 years, which represents the current age of the cask. If matured for another five years until the end of its deferment period, this cask could be bottled at 48 Years Old. Currently the cask would yield 102 bottles at full strength. Please allow up to 6 months for bottling.

The Art

The Dram and the Water

A unique sculpture created by Ini Archibong along with a framed original sketch and a coffee table book. The sculpture itself is 35kg of cast coloured glass handcrafted in Murano.

Crafted from Murano Glass and finished in the colours of Islay, the unique sculptural piece will be presented to the cask owner in Port Ellen once the distillery has reopened. Ini will also develop and create a bespoke colour gradient that will be used to design a set of labels for the bottles drawn from the cask.

The Artist will be present in Port Ellen to meet the cask owner at a mutually agreed date in 2023, as to be determined between the buyer and Diageo.

The Experience

Diageo will offer an exclusive experience in Scotland for the winning bidder and 3 guests (maximum 4 people). This experience will feature 2 days on Islay including a visit to the legendary Port Ellen Distillery with a private tour and tasting.
