末代緊茶主要分「猛景緊茶」及「鼎興緊茶」兩種，猛景緊茶出自今普洱鎮東北廣「猛弄」茶山，為猛景號茶莊所製，因其外形若香菇, 故有「香菇頭」之俗稱。早期緊茶一般多銷往藏區，包裝每七粒首尾相連成一條，每條以糯筍葉包裹以減少其在運輸過程中發霉的情況。30年代 猛景緊茶可說是現存唯一的雲南普洱青沱，緊茶芽毫較多，味甜滑，清香鮮爽，甘淡平和。
