Gay Talese, "42nd Street—How it Got that Way," SHOW 1:3, December 1961, pp. 68-69
Peep Show is part of a series Frank shot for Gay Talese’s December 1961 Show Magazine article, "42nd Street—it got that way.’ Frank’s photographs portraying the colorful cast of characters that frequent the Times Square theater district accompanied Talese’s humorous diatribe against the “endless freak show in mid-Manhattan that shimmies with light, waddles with pigeons, and teems with tourists” (Talese, p. 42).
