Claudio Bruni Sakraischik has confirmed the authenticity of this work.
The canvas is not lined and the edges are taped. Inspection under UV light reveals some intermittent spots and fine lines of retouching, the most prominent of which is a spot to the upper left corner and a line of retouching (approx. 3cm) to the figure of the boy corresponding to a repaired tear. There are some fine lines of craquelure and paint shrinkage in places. There some very minor frame abrasion to the extreme edges with some associated tiny paint losses. This work is in overall good condition.
