Nicolas Descharnes has kindly confirmed the authenticity of this work.
Executed on cream wove paper, not laid down and hinged to the mount in two places at the top edge. All four edges of the sheet are deckled. The sheet is lightly time-stained. There is minor paper skinning below the leaf in the lower right. There is some minor surface dirt and a few tiny accretions in places. There are remnants of old adhesive on the reverse of the sheet due to previous framing arrangement. This work is in overall very good condition.
