This work and its original frame are both in good condition. The paper sheet is laid down on cardboard and present an homogeneous discolouration. Close inspection reveals a few water stains of circa 1 cm in the upper right corner and near the left upper side; fly spots scattered across the surface; small scratches on the goat’s back and another one of circa 6 cm on the left of the animal figure. Very close inspection shows minor paint losses on the lower right corner and a tear of circa 1 cm in the upper middle edge. The frame shows wearing marks and light scratches. The work has been examined unframed.
