This work is in overall good condition. The canvas is not lined. There is hairline craquelure throughout of which two areas are notably uplifting, one in the upper right quadrant and one in the upper left quadrant, and there are further areas of associated paint loss. Examination of ultraviolet light reveals small areas of retouching in places throughout and in areas of previous paint loss, most notably in the center of the left and right edge and in the upper areas of the composition. Further examination under ultraviolet light reveals unusual fluorescence not entirely consistent with retouching and may be artist’s alterations. This work has not been examined outside of its frame. Work is in the artist’s frame.
