The canvas is not lined and has been fitted to a new stretcher, which has been attached to the original. Inspection under UV light reveals some intermittent spots and fine lines of retouching to the extreme edges of the canvas, some further lines of retouching to areas of craquelure in the composition and a small spot of retouching corresponding to a loss at the centre of the lower left quadrant. There are some additional lines of craquelure and paint shrinkage in places and some light frame abrasion. This work is in overall good condition.
