The canvas is lined. UV inspection reveals an uneven varnish through which the UV cannot fully penetrate, however, there appears to be a retouching above the first arch of the bridge to the left of the composition possibly relating to a minor repaired tear. There are some further small retouchings to the extreme edges of the canvas that do not fluoresce. There are a few fine lines of craquelure in places and some minor frame abrasion to parts of the extreme edges. This work is in overall good condition.
