The canvas is not lined. Inspection under UV light reveals some scattered small retouchings throughout the composition, most of which relate to paint losses and some lines of retouching with relate to two repairs (visible on the reverse) and a line of craquelure (possibly caused by a minor impact). There are some fine lines of craquelure in places and some paint shrinkage, largely in the main tree branches. There is some light surface dirt. This work is in overall good condition and has a lovely rich impasto surface.
