This atmospheric and evocative landscape, executed in charcoal, as been dated to circa 1850-60.  The drawing will be included in the Premier Supplément à l’Oeuvre Graphique by Martin Dieterle, Claire Lebeau and Jill Newhouse (no. 117), to be published in 2022.
