Bust of a Young Man
terracotta on a wood socle
height of bust 13 ¾ in.; 34.9cm.
height of socle 5 ¼ in.; 13.3cm.
Falguière was one of the most celebrated sculptors in late 19th century France and after winning the Prix de Rome in 1859 he exhibited at the Paris Salon for 39 consecutive years.
