Adriaen de Gryef (or Grijef) is believed to have been a pupil of Frans Snyders and was active in Ghent, Brussels, Antwerp, and Leiden. In 1687, de Gryef was cited as a master in the Guild of Saint Luke in Ghent and is known for his charming, small format hunting scenes and still lifes.
