This large and impressive work is a nearly full-scale copy of Nicolas Poussin's Adoration of the Magi, signed and dated 1633, in the Gemäldegalerie in Dresden.¹ Other large-scale copies after Poussin's original are held in the collections of the Musée du Louvre (inv. no. 7278), the Musée de Grenoble (inv. no. MG 201), and the Dulwich Picture Gallery (inv. no. DPG227).
