The Rolex Explorer II was first introduced in 1989. It was in production for over 20 years and is a testimony of the transition from the vintage to the modern production.
As an example, it went from tritium to luminova and superluminova as luminescent material.
The present lot is an attractive example of the last period of production with no holes in the lugs (T reference), allowing its owner to enjoy it both as a neo-vintage piece and a daily wearer.
Extremely reliable and the perfect companion, it is no surprise that the 16570, especially in its Polar version, has gained lots of attention from the market in the recent years.
