Introduced in 1983, the GMT-Master II "Fat Lady" reference 16760 marks an important milestone for Rolex. Not only is it the first GMT-Master II model, it was also the first GMT-Master to feature an independent setting for the hour hand, and the first GMT-Master to have a black and red "Coke" bezel. The reference 16760 is crafted with a thicker case in order to house the brand new calibre 3085, designed with larger crown guards than its predecessors, it has gained the nickname "Fat Lady" from collectors.
