Embodying the modern interpretation of a luxury sport watch, the Aquanaut by Patek Philippe was first introduced to the market in 1996 as the reference 5060. Rumored to have been limited to approximately 1,000 pieces, the reference 5060 was only available for one short year then immediately replaced by the reference 5066 which features a sapphire crystal display back. As the first Aquanaut reference, it features many small distinctive details only found on the earliest versions, from the early calibre 330 SC movement, solid case back to the cursive font on the date aperture.
