favrile glass, patinated bronze

nineteen shades engraved L.C.T.; four shades engraved L.C.T. Favrile

Overall in very good condition. The shades are a well-matched set and present with luminous jewel-tones to the iridescence when viewed with reflected light. Each shade with scattered minor air bubbles, particulate inclusions, and surface irregularities inherent in the making and not visually distracting. Each shade with some scattered extremely minor and fine surface scratches consistent with age and gentle handling. The upper apertures of each shade with some extremely minor wear and minute flecks resulting from contact with the shade fitters, consistent with age and handling and not visible when the shades are installed. The chandelier displays a rich brown patina with scattered minor surface scratches, abrasions, wear and discolorations, consistent with age and gentle handling. A few of the bronze stems with some minor irregular bending, not visually distracting. With period sockets. With a later replaced ceiling canopy and suspension rod. A rare and elaborate “Lily” Chandelier displaying an exceptionally graceful composition and lines.
