Pair of "Standing" Table Lamps

2005

numbers 1 and 2 from an edition of 12

laminated paper, steel, brass, glazed stoneware

24½ in. (62.2 cm) high each

14½ in. (36.8 cm) maximum diameter of each shade

Overall in very good condition. The glazed stoneware bases present with scattered surface scratches, small abrasions and light wear concentrated to the edges and consistent with gentle use. The metal surfaces present with light oxidation and tarnish consistent with age. The laminated paper shades present with light creasing and areas of lifting to the lamination particularly concentrated to the corners of each sheet, stable and not visually distracting. Please note that these lamps are wired to European standards. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and recommends having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
