Overall in very good condition. The wood is stable and in age-appropriate condition overall and presents with faint scratches throughout as well as small abrasions and minute indentations concentrated to the edges and corners. The vellum is in well-preserved, age-appropriate condition and presents with faint scratches throughout as well as very minor discoloration, small abrasions and raised grain. The edges and corners of the vellum surfaces with rare instances of visible glue, not visually distracting. The copper decorations are stable with slight lifting concentrated to the corners, and present with light oxidation throughout, consistent with age. The fabric tassels present with some loose threads but are stable. The inlaid pieces are overall stable with slightly raised areas, not visually distracting. The six desk drawers are in overall good working condition and present with pulls potentially of a later replacement.
