Johannes Fasnacht is of the third generation of the Fasnachts who settled in Earl Township, present-day New Holland, Pennsylvania in the mid-18th century. He was born on June 6, 1775 to Johannes Fasnacht and Eva Fetter, and later married Elizabeth Schmidt, bearing eight children. He died on June 13, 1849 and is buried at Swamp Church, Reinholds, Pennsylvania.
